Benson's
Office Supply Service developed as an extended activity of Charles E. Benson, employee of Inglewood Stationers. The operation was formally established on May 30, 1989, with its initial office at 171 N. LaBrea in Inglewood.
Our delivery vehicle (a 1985 Ford Econoline Van was provided by David Weingarten (owner of Inglewood Stationers)
Our primary operation was limited to the distribution of sales flyers and directly soliciting orders from retail merchants in downtown Inglewood. With the aid of Communique Answering Service and Celebrity pager service, the operation serviced 100 to 200 accounts on a cash and carry basis.Our first major account, LAUSD qualified Benson's Office Supply Service as a Certified Minority Vendor.
